The Uganda National Anthem Analysed

Oh Uganda, May God uphold Thee (Truly...because no one else can!)

We lay our future in Thy hands (Not the brightest of ideas)

United, (in what way?) free, (seriously?) for Liberty

Together we’ll always stand (And get tear-gassed for it!!)

Oh Uganda, the Land of freedom,

(for the paranoid, gun-wielding minority)

Our love and labour we give (It is taken by force)

And with neighbours all at our country’s call

In peace and friendship we’ll live (not anymore)

Oh Uganda, the land that feeds us (or rather feeds ON us)

By sun and fertile soils grown

For our own(some have surely made it their personal playground) dear (as in EXPENSIVE?) land,

we shall always stand (and die)

The Pearl of Africa’s crown! (I'm yet to see a sadder Pearl or a sorrier Crown!!)
